Open Window Function

The AVATTO Smart TRV features an Open Window Detection function designed to improve energy efficiency. When the device detects a sudden temperature drop of more than 6°C within 4 minutes—often caused by an open window—it automatically switches to Open Window Mode. In this mode, the valve is closed to prevent unnecessary heating and energy waste. Once the room temperature stabilizes, the TRV resumes normal operation. This feature helps reduce heating costs and optimizes comfort in changing environments.

Anti-Scale Function

To ensure long-term performance and prevent limescale buildup, the AVATTO TRV includes an Anti-Scale Function. Every two weeks, the valve opens fully and runs for 30 seconds to clear any mineral deposits that may have formed. This routine cleaning cycle helps maintain smooth valve operation and prolongs the device’s lifespan. It’s a smart, hands-free way to keep your heating system running efficiently. No manual maintenance is required—just set it and forget it.

Anti-Freezing Function

Even when turned off, the TRV provides protection against freezing conditions with its built-in Anti-Freezing Function. If the ambient temperature drops below 5°C, the valve automatically opens to allow warm water to circulate through the radiator. Once the temperature rises above 8°C, the valve closes again. This function prevents pipe damage caused by freezing water in colder climates. It’s an essential safety feature for winter months or unoccupied properties.
